According to the Swiss Health and Physical Activity Network (hepa), 35% of adults in Switzerland are insufficiently active or completely inactive (source available in FR/GE/IT: here).

HR-Tech Aequivalent wishes to pay particular attention to the well-being of its employees by promoting the numerous benefits of regular physical activity in the workplace, but also at home.

Founded as a start-up in 2015 and based at Y-Parc in Yverdon-les-Bains, Aequivalent is the leading Swiss digital platform for background checks. The company recently announced its “scale-up” and plans to double its workforce in the next two years. Beyond the positive impact on the well-being of employees, the physical activities offered also help to build and maintain team cohesion.

This commitment is translated across different axes. First of all, the company organises regular sports initiations. In recent years, Aequivalent employees have participated in different sport-initiations: golf in Payerne, archery and paddle in Estavayer-le-Lac, hiking in the Areuse Gorge, curling at the Neuchâtel skating rink, snowshoeing in Mauborget, cross-country skiing in Les Rasses, stretching sessions during virtual team meetings, and more recently, paddle tennis at the Morges Tennis Club.

Next, its strong growth has allowed the company to expand and invest in its premises for the year 2022. This was done in order to offer an even more ergonomic workspace, with desks allowing standing work as well as a “relaxation” room offering the possibility to play ping-pong, table soccer, enjoy some stretching and many other activities.

To continue this effort beyond the company’s doors, Aequivalent offers contracts with flexible hours and the possibility of home office, allowing employees to create a better work-life balance.

Finally, a financial contribution to sports memberships and equipment is also granted to employees.

Aequivalent’s efforts don’t stop there, as the company has launched an activity challenge allowing employees to send in photos of their workout activities. The employee with the greatest variety gets a chance to win a prize. However, the company does not forget its less athletically inclined employees and plans to reward creativity😊.
